Webinar brings together experts to discuss oil and gas industry’s situation in present crisis

In 2020, the combination of the Russia-Saudi Arabia oil war and the COVID-19 pandemic caused oil prices to plummet in a way not seen for at least 100 years. The recovery is expected to be slow and steady, until a cure for the virus is found. To discuss this subject, FGV Energy will hold a webinar titled “Energy in Focus: The present situation, impacts, future vision, prospects and possible need for support to overcome the crisis,” on May 11, at 6 pm. The event will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel.

The webinar’s goal is to listen to companies that represent the sector, to understand their perspectives about prospects for independent energy companies, their concerns about the unique moment we are going through, and their expectations for the future of the industry and independent players in Brazil.

The event’s participants will be Timothée de Reynal, the CEO of Perenco; Marcelo Magalhães, the CEO of PetroReconcavo and Potiguar E&P; and Roberto Monteiro, the CEO of PetroRio. The webinar’s moderator will be Magda Chambriard, FGV Energy’s oil and gas research coordinator.
