Webinar debates digital communication in sport
The webinar will debate how sports organizations can effectively and profitably build and take advantage of digital communication platforms, reaching a wide audience

“Digital Communication in Sport” is the title of a webinar that FGV Executive Education will hold on January 17. The public event will take place at 10 am on FGV’s YouTube channel.
Among other things, the webinar will debate how sports organizations, athletes, brands, communicators, fans and other sports industry stakeholders can effectively and profitably build and take advantage of digital communication platforms, reaching a wide audience.
For example, during the FIFA World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed the impressive number of 500 million followers on Instagram. He has more followers than anyone else in the world. Lionel Messi is second, with almost 400 million. Adding up the three biggest social networks – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – Cristiano Ronaldo now has more than 750 million followers, far surpassing all the clubs he has played for together.
Pedro Trengrouse, the academic coordinator of the FGV/FIFA/CIES Sports Management Course, will be the moderator. The guest speakers will be Felipe Oliva, co-founder and CEO of Squid, Brazil’s leading marketing technology company in the community marketing segment; Mariucha Monneró, the first female Brazilian newspaper journalist to cover a FIFA World Cup; and Rafaella Kalimann, a digital influencer, presenter and businesswoman, who is among the most visible personalities in Brazil on social networks, with more than 22 million followers.
