Webinar debates prices in the electricity market

On March 4, at 7 pm, FGV Energia will hold a webinar on the implementation and prospects of the so-called Preço de Liquidação de Diferenças (Difference Settlement Price), better known as PLD, which influences all economic relations involving the agents that produce, sell and consume electricity. It is the short-term price in the electricity markets that form the basis on which decisions are made about the real time the operation of the system, moment by moment decisions about which plants should be activated to service the load.
The event will be attended by the director of the Electric Energy Research Center (CEPEL), Amilcar Guerreiro; the CEPEL project manager, André Diniz; the Director General of the National Electric System Operator (ONS), Luiz Ciocchi; the ONS Director of Operations, Sinval Gama; the chairman of the Board of Directors of CCEE, Rui Altieri; and the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCEE, Talita Porto. The meeting, open to the public, will be moderated by senior researcher at FGV Energia, Paulo Cesar Cunha.
