Brazil plays a leading role in beef cattle production and there are great prospects for increasing productivity and profitability in this segment. The main challenge is to take advantage of these opportunities while meeting growing demands regarding the sustainability of production systems.
This will be the subject of a webinar featuring Mariana Aragão Pereira, a researcher in the Beef Cattle department of the Brazilian government’s agricultural research agency, Embrapa. She will discuss how Brazilian strategies are contributing to more sustainable, low-carbon livestock farming. Sabrina de Matos Carlos, a researcher at FGV’s Bioeconomy Observatory, will be the moderator.
