Workshop discusses contribution of innovative technologies applied to renewable energy sector
The workshop marked the first stage of the “Emerging Technologies Applied to the Renewable Energy Sector” project.
On July 8 and 9, the FGV´s International Intelligence Unit (FGV NPII), in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Latin American Regional Energy Security and Climate Change Program, held a workshop in Rio de Janeiro, which marked the first stage of the “Emerging Technologies Applied to the Renewable Energy Sector” project.
The event was attended by specialists and organizations including BNDES, IDB, ITS, Sebrae and startups to discuss subjects related to technologies such as blockchain, the Internet of Things and renewable energy. The workshop’s central debate was aimed at identifying a methodology to facilitate the replicability of solutions created by startups using innovative technologies, with positive impacts for the energy sector.
The project will culminate with the development of a final report, to be launched in the second half of this year. For more information about the project, visit this website.
