On August 7th, the professor of the School of Applied Mathematics (EMAp), Alexandre Rademaker, presented, at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at SRI International, the seminar The OpenWordNet-PT and its connection to SUMO Ontology.According to the professor, the WordNet is an important step in the creation of lexical resources of the Portuguese language, allowing Portuguese text processing.The work presented has shown the progress achieved in the construction of OpenWordnet-PT, which has as its main objective the mining of information and relationships among entities in the entries of the Brazilian Historical Dictionary of CPDOC.SRI International is an independent nonprofit research institute working for government agencies, foundations, corporations and other organizations.
