FGV attends an International Institute of Administrative Sciences congress
FGV attended the 2012 edition of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) congress, which took place from June 18 through 22 in Merida, Mexico. The meeting gathered 800 experts and administrators from 50 countries for the exchange of experience and theoretical analyses on public administration practices.
FGV's International Director Bianor Cavalcanti spoke about Democratic Governance towards the Economic Development during the conference, which was also attended by the main advisor of UN's program for the Development of Latin America and the Caribbean, Bernardo Kiksberg, the former Peru's prime minister, Luís Solari, and the director of Escuela Nacional de Profesionalización of the Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública do México (INAP), Manuel Quijano.
At the same time, the 3rd meeting of the Grupo Latinoamericano por la Administración Pública (GLAP) took place. During the event, specific case studies of Latin America countries were analyzed. FGV attended the meeting on behalf of Brazil, represented by Bianor Cavalcanti, the international vice-director for Latin America and the Caribeean, Marlos Lima and Enrique Saravia, from FGV Projetos. Also attending the meeting were Luiz Alberto dos Santos, from the Civil House, as well as the Instituto Publix's director, Caio Marini.
