FGV holds mid-year university entrance exam for business administration course in Sao Paulo

Between March 7 and May 5, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) is accepting applications for its mid-year university entrance exam. In all, there are 200 vacancies for the school’s daytime business administration course and 50 for the evening version.

Out of the 200 vacancies on the daytime business administration course, 172 will be allocated in line with the results of our university entrance exam. Another 6 will be allocated in line with National High School Exam (ENEM) results and 22 places will be allocated based on the results of international tests: 10 based on the International Baccalaureate (IB), 2 based on the ABITUR university entrance exam in Germany, 2 based on the BAC university entrance exam in France, and 8 based on SAT test scores in the United States. For the evening course, 40 vacancies will be allocated via our university entrance exam, 4 via ENEM, 2 via IB, 1 via ABITUR, 1 via BAC and 2 via SAT scores.

You must apply on our website, where the selection process’ results will be posted. Until 6 pm on April 8, the fee for the application process via online university entrance exam and international test results is R$75, while the fee for the process via ENEM results is R$25. After this date, the fees will be R$150 and R$50, respectively.

FGV EAESP waives the application fee in the case of students who spent their entire high school education at government schools (municipal, state or federal) or who received full scholarships at private schools. You just need to prove the above, via documents, by May 2.

FGV EAESP tests and results

The tests will be online. Candidates must connect at least 30 minutes before the exam starts and show original photo ID (either a Brazilian ID card or a national immigration card. Photocopied or unclear ID will not be accepted. The instructions for accessing the exam will be given in the application confirmation notice, to be posted on our website.

The selection process is composed of two phases. The first phase has two modules (a multiple-choice test and an essay and mathematics test), while the second one is an oral exam.

The multiple-choice exam lasts four hours and it covers mathematics, the humanities (history, geography and current affairs), Portuguese language, literature and text interpretation, and English language and text interpretation. In the second exam, there will be two hours for essay writing and two hours for applied mathematics questions.

The first phase exams will take place on May 22 and 29. The first phase scores will be disclosed at 6 pm on June 23. Participants will also have an oral exam on June 28. The final results will be announced at 6 pm on July 8, including the selection process based on ENEM.

Scholarships

Non-refundable scholarships will be awarded to the four best performers in the university entrance exam process. FGV EAESP also grants the following types of refundable scholarships (without interest, but merely adjusted in line with the IGP-M inflation index) to undergraduate students who prove they are financially needy:

• Fee scholarship (20% to 100% of monthly fees for six months);

• Study material scholarship (to help pay for books and study materials for six months);

• Food scholarship (to help pay for food for six months);

• Accommodations scholarship (for students in serious financial difficulty, who live outside the city of Sao Paulo, for six months);

• Transportation scholarship (for students in serious financial difficulty, who live outside the city of Sao Paulo, for six months).
