FGV holds the seminar Global Climate Coalition Student Workshop
In a partnership with Yale University and the University of Massachusetts Boston, the São Paulo Business Administration School (EAESP) carried out the seminar Global Climate Coalition Student Workshop at FGV headquarters on June 19. The event was an activity related to the Rio+20 and was attended by 32 delegates from 13 different universities of the globe; among them were Carnergie Mellon and Columbia University (USA), the University of Copenhagen (DK), Tongji University (CN), Universidad Católica Boliviana (BO) and University of Brawijaya (ID).Teams were invited to present proposals for innovative projects in their campuses, with the purpose to mitigate the environmental impact caused by universities. During the seminar, students were involved in the assessment by their peers and received feedback from professors Renato Orsato, from EAESP, Maria Ivanova, from UMass, and Melissa Goodall, from Yale University Office of Sustainability.As a continuation and follow up of the works, students will share implementation ideas and good practices regarding their projects on a web forum, moderated by Yale University.The following institutions also attended the Global Climate Coalition Student Workshop:Addis Abeba UniversityAustralia National UniversityCarnergie MellonColumbia UniversityMakerere UniversityTongji UniversityUMASS BostonUniversidad Católica BolivianaUniversity of Brawijaya
