FGV presents overview of Brazil during Italian delegation?s official visit

At FGV, the group attended lectures about the current political and economic outlooks, with an emphasis on the presidential elections which will be held in October. The topics were chosen by the Consulate General of Italy in Rio de Janeiro and were addressed by Professors José Cezar Castanhar and Octavio Amorim Neto.

Earlier this month, FGV welcomed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Mario Giro, a visit that was part of the official agenda in Brazil which included meetings with government and authorities in São Paulo and Brasília. The Italian delegation also included the Ambassador of Italy in Brazil, Raffaele Trombetta, the central director to the General Direction for Globalization and Global Issues of the Ministry, Luigi Maccotta, the Consul General of Italy in Rio de Janeiro, Mario Panaro, and the first Secretary of the Embassy, Alberto La Bella.

The delegation was welcomed by FGV's President; Carlos Ivan Simonsen, FGV's international director; Bianor Cavalcanti, and the manager of International Relations, Professor Eduardo Marques.

The event took place in the Main Hall of FGV's main offices in Rio de Janeiro.
