As of this Friday, April 1, the Lato Sensu Post Graduate program (GVlaw) of Fundação Getulio Varga´s São Paulo Law School (Direito SP) is accepting registrations for its courses scheduled to start in the second semester. The GVlaw courses are geared towards professionals wishing to specialize in certain areas of the law, as well as for those looking to freshen up on legal issues that shaped recent debates. For those seeking specialization, GVlaw offers four choices of graduate courses: Contract Law, Business Law, Corporate Law and Tax Law. With a class load of 432 hours and duration varying from 18 to 24 months, these courses also provide students with content in related areas such as finance, economics, accounting, as well as cross-related areas like negotiation techniques, in addition to the specific content of each course. Meanwhile, the short-term courses include two and six-month programs for graduates seeking technical and academic improvement, with an emphasis on current issues. Students can choose from 14 courses, including some new additions: Personnel Management and Labor Compliance; Plea Agreement; Leniency Agreements with Public Administration; and Contracts in Times of Crisis. Another highlight is the Fashion Law course, which provides a broad perspective of the impact of legal issues throughout the entire supply chain of the fashion industry, and a course that analyzes how litigation is affected by the new Code of Civil procedure, in force since March 18. GVlaw will also offer a course on Compliance, which was very popular when first introduced in 2015.For the complete list of courses, or more information about the program, selection process and registrations, please visit the GVlaw website.
