Lecturers of Rio +20 debate economy and environment at FGV

On March 26, the seminar ?Economy and Environment: Opportunities and Challenges? took place. The meeting was promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Economics of Getulio Vargas Foundation (IBRE), with the purpose of addressing topics related to preservation and sustainable development in Brazil regarding the Rio + 20, such as efforts, advances and new instruments in terms of environmental preservation, besides presenting a realistic view of what can be expected in the mid run.The debate was attended by the Green Economy Sub-Secretary of Rio de Janeiro's State Environment Secretariat, Suzana Khan Ribeiro, the coordinator of Environment Studies of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), Ronaldo Seroa da Motta, the president of Bolsa Verde do Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Moura Costa, and the Chief Assessor of the Minister for the Environment, Sérgio Margulis.The meeting took place at the auditorium on the 12th floor from 4 pm to 6 pm, at FGV's headquarters.
