President of Eletrobras gives lecture on the future of the energy industry
Since 2014, FGV Energy has been hosting a series of lectures by senior management professionals in the industry, discussing the political, economic, and technological challenges for its development in Brazil.
On July 27, at 6 p.m., FGV Energy will welcome the President of Eletrobras, Wilson Ferreira Junior, at the auditorium of FGV’s main office, to talk about his perspectives of future strategies and challenges faced by the company in the Brazilian and global energy industry, as well as its contribution in this context. The event is part of the series of lectures ‘Energy in Focus – Strategy and Challenges for the Future.’
President of Eletrobras since July 2016, Wilson Ferreira Junior is an electrical engineer and holds a degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University, and a Master’s degree in Energy from University of Sao Paulo. Throughout his career, he has served as Director of Distribution at Companhia Energética de São Paulo (CESP), President of Rio-Grande Energia (RGE), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bandeirante Energia S.A., and President of CPFL Paulista and CPFL Energia. He was also President of the Brazilian Association of Electricity Distributors (Abradee) and the Brazilian Association of Basic Industries and Infrastructure (Abdib).
