Rio de Janeiro Law School student offers course in Rio de Janeiro neighborhood of Cantagalo

The student of the 5th semester of Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), João Pedro Fontes Zagni, recently delivered the course Basic Principles of Law for Layman at the NGO Solar Meninos de Luz, located in Cantagalo, in Rio.With the objective of teaching High School students key aspects of Law, so that they may exercise a more conscious citizenship, João Pedro addressed themes such as Fundamental Rights, Constitutional Principles, Separation of Powers, Federation, Obligations, Contracts, Corporate Law and Labor Law.This project converges with FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School main motto: 'Non scholae, sed vitae discimus' (it is not for school, but for life), the critical and reflective thinking stimulated by the institution, and its support to the project have been essential to put into practice this dream of passing forward part of the learning to society, stated João.The course, with duration of two months, received the support of Rio de Janeiro Law School and the NGO Solar Meninos de Luz.
