Webinar debates ESG agenda and regulation

On August 22, FGV Executive Education is holding a webinar called “ESG Scorecard: Where Are We and Where Are We Going in Terms of the ESG Agenda and Regulation?” This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on August 22, at 6 pm.
The event will reflect on initiatives under way in Brazil and across the world, as well as prospects for the coming years in relation to environmental, social and governance metrics.
These are the main metrics for measuring sustainability and the positive impacts of an investment or business. Although these criteria can help determine companies’ future performance, accurate and precise assessments have been hard to perform in different markets.
Current demand for transparency and rigor in information and disclosures based on environmental, social and governance metrics, whether from investors, customers or other stakeholders, has highlighted regulatory actions for the ESG agenda. As regulatory and standardization agencies and institutes propose stricter rules for sustainability and ESG reporting, many companies are now taking their first steps to understand their value chain, reflect on their internal practices and see how best to disclose their environmental and social impacts to society.
The event will be moderated by Fabricio Stocker, a professor, consultant and the academic coordinator of FGV’s MBA in ESG Issues. The speakers will be Marta Camila Carneiro, sustainability coordinator at Arcadis and professor of ESG at FGV; Arthur Gonçalves, deputy general manager of Banco do Brasil and professor of ESG at FGV; and Bianca Bozon Moreira Talassi, Siemens’ sustainability coordinator, head of the Siemens Foundation and professor of ESG at FGV.
