Webinar explores challenges of global humanitarian and climate crises

Fundação Getulio Vargas, through the academic coordinators of its MBA and other graduate courses related to ESG, is holding a webinar called “Planetary Health and ESG: Challenges and Measures to Tackle Global Humanitarian and Climate Crises.” The event will take place on July 2, at 6 p.m., in online format.

The meeting will explore integrated solutions to climate and humanitarian crises through the prisms of planetary health and ESG practices. The debate will address how ESG practices can transcend corporate metrics, acting as tools to promote planetary health and respond to humanitarian emergencies arising from climate crises. The challenges of implementing these practices in a way that benefits the environment and vulnerable communities will be discussed, as well as the role of public policy and corporate governance.

The webinar will feature a panel of experts, who will share insights on integrating planetary health and ESG strategies in order to provide a robust response to climate and humanitarian challenges. The event will provide a platform for sharing knowledge, practical strategies and case studies.

The speakers will be Renata Anderson (researcher and consultant in planetary health, humanitarian operations, disaster management and ESG), Bruno Teixeira Peixoto (lawyer and consultant in the areas of environmental law, climate litigation and ESG corporate integrity) and Fábio Luengo (meteorologist with an undergraduate degree from the University of Sao Paulo and graduate degree in environment and sustainability from FGV, who has been recognized by the Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council for his outstanding contributions to the field). The moderator will be Professor Fabricio Stocker of FGV EBAPE.
