Webinar explores EU deforestation rules and impacts on Brazilian exports
The Center for Agribusiness Studies (FGVAgro) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a webinar on the European Union’s new Deforestation Regulation. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on June 13, starting at 10 am.
The objective of the webinar is to analyze how the EU’s Deforestation Regulation will affect Brazil’s agricultural exports and international trade as a whole.
There will be talks by Rodrigo Lima, managing partner of Agroicone, who has a doctorate in international economic law from Sao Paulo Catholic University; and Natascha Trennephol, a partner in law firm Trennepohl Advogados, who has a doctorate in law from Humboldt University, Berlin and a master’s from Santa Catarina Federal University. The moderator will be Leonardo Munhoz, a researcher at the FGV Bioeconomy Observatory.
