The Getulio Vargas Foundation's International Prospecting and Intelligence Center (FGV NPII) is hosting the webinar Korean Soft Power in Brazil: A First Assessment with a Latin American View on March 17 at 8pm. The event aims to present the results of the project carried out by the Center in partnership with the Korea Foundation on South Korean Soft Power in Latin America, in general, and in Brazil, in particular.

The main researcher of the project led by FGV NPII, Leonardo Paz, invited specialist Misook Park (Korea Institute for International Economic Policy - KIEP) to discuss the sophisticated influence and foreign policy strategies employed by the different South Korean agents (government, diplomacy, companies, media, etc.). During the chat, the growing popularity of South Korean culture in Latin America and Brazil will be debated through the consumption of K-pop, K-drama, K-beauty, games, food and technology products, among others, as well as its social, geopolitical and financial effects.

The event, which is open to the public and free of charge, will be presented entirely in English, without simultaneous translation.
