Event discusses education’s role in advancing goals set by G20 summit
The meeting will bring together Macaé Evaristo, minister for human rights and citizenship; and Zara Figueiredo, secretary for continuing education, literacy, diversity and inclusion at the Education Ministry.

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Division for the Development of Public Management and Educational Policies (FGV DGPE), in partnership with the OECD’s Global Network of Foundations Working for Development (netFWD) and Education Above All, is holding an international seminar called Catalyzing Change: The Role of Education in Building a Fair and Sustainable Future. The meeting will take place on November 19, at 9 a.m., at 190 Praia de Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
The seminar will discuss the fundamental role of education in mitigating climate change, promoting public health and advancing the goals set by this month’s G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, such as social inclusion, sustainable development and reforming global governance.
The event will be divided into three panels over the course of the day, featuring leaders such as Macaé Evaristo, minister for human rights and citizenship; and Zara Figueiredo, secretary for continuing education, literacy, diversity and inclusion at the Education Ministry.
