FGV receives Social Responsibility Accreditation for seventh consecutive year
This recognition is the result of actions carried out by the Academic Records Office, which believes that working for a better future for our society is everyone’s responsibility.
For the seventh year in a row, Fundação Getulio Vargas has received Social Responsibility Accreditation from the Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions (ABMES), based on social initiatives carried out in 2024. The aim of this certification is to recognize actions conducted by institutions with a focus on the social well-being and sustainable development of the communities in which they operate.
FGV’s academic operations superintendent, Rodrigo Pamplona, says, “The active participation of FGV students and staff is essential to consolidate the institution as an agent of transformation. This collaboration creates synergies that strengthen FGV’s commitment to social responsibility, promoting actions that reflect the role of education in building a fairer and more compassionate society.”
Social responsibility actions are in line with FGV’s mission, vision and values, and are also a Brazilian Education Ministry assessment criterion for undergraduate courses.
FGV’s campaigns are supported by its Internship and Career Development Center and Education Support Center. They aim to involve students, employees and the whole FGV community.
Julia Alonso, an undergraduate student at the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School, took part in the Academic Records Office’s 2024 Christmas Campaign. She reveals that taking part in the campaign was very special. “In November I had the opportunity to take part in the Academic Records Office’s Christmas campaign. I went to the Education Support Center to pick up my letter, along with my friends, and there we talked and selected the gift we most identified with. It was incredible! Buying the present was a magical experience. It made me want to be a child again! I highly recommend participating in this project,” she says.
