Theory of the Regulatory State: seventh edition of the book deepens debates on administrative law
Available as a free e-book, the book analyzes regulatory experiences in Brazil and abroad.

Started in 2015, the collection The Theory of the Regulatory State presents its seventh volume in the year that marks a decade since its first launch. Published by the Fundação Getulio Vargas Rio de Janeiro School of Law (FGV Direito Rio), in partnership with Editora Juruá, the book brings together 13 academic productions and has as its central purpose the dissemination of works, awarded for their excellence and innovative aspects, produced in the Postgraduate Program in Regulatory Law (PPGD).
Organized by Sérgio Guerra, professor of administrative law and current director of the School, one of the book's greatest differentials lies in the fact that the participation of the co-authors enabled the creation of a work of quality and academic excellence, which encourages the debate of ideas about the new paradigms of administrative law and the Brazilian Regulatory State.
Maintaining the methodology, research and objectives of the works published since the first edition, this volume seeks to present, from a critical perspective, the main themes related to the state function of regulatory, economic and social intervention, and its impacts, analyzing regulatory experiences in Brazil and abroad.
The book has the collaboration of Alex Benevides, Carolina Estarque da Cunha, Daniel Argalji, Egmon Henrique de Oliveira Costa, Frederico Bizarro Weingartner, Julia Marques Queiroz Laport Brandão, Júlia Palmier T. de Azevedo, Leticia Wienskoski, Maria Eduarda de Skowronski Gomes, Ricardo Coimbra da Silva Starling Barcellos, Vanessa Aguiar Bezerra Pinto and Vinicius Machado R. Vianna.
The book is available in physical format on the Editora Juruá website. The e-book can be downloaded for free from the FGV Digital Library. To access it, click here.
